Profile
I’m Kelvin, an Indonesian filmmaker and photographer based in Tokyo. My work is shaped by travel, quiet observations, and the people I meet along the way. Through film, I’m drawn to honest moments, subtle emotions, and fleeting moments found in between, creating stories that feel human, cinematic, and close to real life.
About the Video
This film was created in Vietnam, a place that taught me to slow down and notice life more honestly. I chose Vietnam because everything felt deeply human, the people, the streets, the warmth, and the quiet rhythm of everyday moments. It became the right place to tell a story about memory, fleeting time, and the small emotions we carry with us.
Key Points / Highlights
I focused most on creating a natural flow that reflects emotion, memory, and the feeling of fleeting time. More than just making beautiful frames, I wanted each shot to feel intentional, connected to the story, the atmosphere, and the quiet moments that often stay with us the longest. Movement, pacing, light, and the smallest details became the language to carry that feeling.
How I used the PowerShot V10
I shot this film with the PowerShot V10, keeping the setup small and flexible to stay close to real moments. I paid extra attention to exposure, especially protecting the highlights. My approach was to work with available light, careful framing, and intentional movement to keep the film natural, cinematic, and honest.
First Impression of the PowerShot V10
I was impressed by how easy the PowerShot V10 was to carry and use in real situations. Its compact size made the shooting process feel less intimidating and more natural, especially when capturing people and everyday moments. While it requires careful exposure control, the built-in ND filter was helpful in brighter conditions, giving me more flexibility. Overall, it performs well when used intentionally, making it a simple but capable tool for visual storytelling.
